SPEECHLESS

The title of this blog is really just how I feel. I know I'm supposed to be blogging about my 10 day challenge but today doesn't even count because my mother-in-law took my kids last night AND I need to document always how faithful and great our God is.

I was struggling with fully enjoying photography because I felt like I wasn't giving it all to God, the one who gave me this talent and passion. Although that might not be important to some...it's very important to me. The bible tells us that whatever we are doing we must do it for the glory of God. I think that easily is overlooked and "justified" (which we humans are really good at doing) to, "well it's whatever I'm doing in my christian life right? When I'm serving the youth group, or attending a bible study. I really don't need to glorify God while i'm making dinner for a thousand people do I? Or when I'm changing a diaper or when I disagree with my husband or my parents?" The list goes on and on and YES it tells us to Glorify God in ALL that we do...so I have to find a way to Glorify my God through photography.

I prayed...and God was faithful in his deliverance. In an earlier post I mentioned joining with Alpha Womens Center in giving those young single moms who choose life over abortions beautiful and priceless pictures to cherish for a lifetime of them with their baby still in the womb and of the newborn baby. I'm so excited to begin this new ministry and already have a girl waiting!!!!

Through this ministry I was asked to do a cover of a magazine and it's been truly amazing to watch how God pulls everything together and I don't even know half of the details. Courtney called me and asked how i found my model for the cover. I told her it was totally random and it turns out, her mom has huge connections that will help courtney and sam in some way or another. How amazing right? Praise God!

All of these 'happenings" got me so excited that my mind just started going like crazy. So here's another cool angle to this ministry. My prices for a session fee are going to go up just a little...but for every session booked a certain percentage will go towards this ministry and that person who booked a session will be "sponsoring" a young woman who chose life by giving her something special from her session. I haven't fully decided yet whether it will be a canvas print of their choice, 12x24, multiple prints or a small package. Anyways, each girl will get some kind of gift from their session and it will be because of those who supported my business. Best part yet...when you book a session and sponsor a girl...you get a picture with a story! So get booking :) just joking.

As far as prayer for this ministry. I'm not yet fully established where I can afford to get a new "design" for my business. I really want a blog/website where I can continue to post these happenings but where it's customized to my business look and easy to find (my own domain name). I also still need a name for this ministry so any ideas would be wonderful. Thanks for your continued support, for reading and for your prayers!
