I typed up this post a week before my moms birthday and told her not to read it until her birthday...it never showed up. So now it's a "happy belated birthday mom".
Life has been crazy lately. There are so many worries and stresses...especially financially. Raising two kids (in diapers), with one on the way and being a stay-at-home-mom, isn't easy. With tears and a great fear of failing I called my mom. That phone call that morning was such a blessing because God took all of the light off me and shone it completely on my mom. So many people are telling us that we need to stop having kids, that a big family isn't an option for us, but not my mom. she encourages more kids, an unlimited amount actually. Why? Because she did it. She was single mom our entire childhood, I remember her financial worries were greater than mine are right now and she did it. How? She stayed strong in her faith. In the lowest parts of her life you still saw my mom praising God through raising us (her kids) to praise Him. My mom stayed faithful because she knew God wouldn't leave her. I once heard this said, "though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil...there needs to be a light for there to be a shadow and that light is our Lord and Savior". How encouraging, we should always know that there is a light in our darkest times in life and that light is Christ. My mom demostrated this so well throughout my life that she is my constant encouragement.
Thanks mom. You mean so much to me I honestly don't know what i'd do without you. You ARE the best mom!
I love you so much.

I always read your blog at the perfect time. They're always so encouraging - it's like I was meant to read them because the pertain to exactly what's going on in my life. I always worry about finances (especially now with Josh looking for a job) ... and I just need to know God will take care of us. He always has. It's like Pastor Chris said - we always worry about making the budget and then we make the budget and then we worry again if we're going to make the budget the next time.
Wow Stac.... I am so honored and doubly so humbled. I love you so much! Remember to sing his praises and give God all the worship and glory... It helps so much to keep Him in the center, right where HE belongs! I am very proud of you and Brian and the way you handle you marriage and family. Keep up the good work!
Love, Mom
I loved reading how much your Mom means to you. What a special gift! :)
Hey Stacie! I just wanted to throw out there that we use cloth diapers and made all our own baby food - saves SO much money!! It was a little intimidating at first, but ended up not being a big deal at all. If you're interested in some tips, let me know!
When are you due? Congrats!
